In an AU universe to what we all know, the worlds have all lived peacefully together under the rule of the kind King of Hearts, Joshua. King Joshua was known for his benevolence, and through the time of hardships he brought happiness to the people. For a whole two decades the worlds prospered, until the truth was revealed.
The King and his organization, "Order of Hearts", was set on the revival of an ancient relic of the past, a mysterious rune hidden in the dungeons of Wonderland. Yet sealed by strong magic belonging to the philosopher and scholar Sigurd the Wolf, only the Key of Heaven would be capable of opening the keyhole. By far, no one has any clue what the Heavenly Keyblade is, or how it came about. Once rejoicing in love of the king, the worlds have cast their rebellious intent, splitting the Kingdom into a tragic tale of betrayal, war, and a search for the truth.
With the uprising of many organizations either allying or against the Order of Hearts, the steadily increasing numbers of heartless that dines upon the corruption and depression throughout the world has become a dominant figure of despair. Who will become the possessor of the Key of Heaven, and the Rune of Earth to end the tale?
